Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

• In this form, you must fill in the information to be the initial applicant. Attach the proof of such alteration in address or any other details.
• If the applicant does not have proof of a change of address, he may certify the document to the following persons
  • Gazetted Officer - Group A
  • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
  • Gazetted Officer - Group B
  • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
  • Tehsildar
  • Head of Recognized Education Institution
  • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
  • Recognized shelter houses/Orphanages
  • Officer EPFO
• Then you should visit the nearest Aadhaar Center along with this Form to make an application for an address change, and also submit an application online for such Address change in Aadhaar Number using this address change link

UIDAI lets cardholders with Aadhaar cardsto change their address and without the need of documents. Aadhaar card holders were able to alter their address even if they didn't provide evidence of their identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial facility that allows you to change the address of your Aadhaar card's address without proof of address.

UIDAI allows people with Aadhaar cards to change their address and address without any paperwork. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their address, if they accept the authenticity from the address verification. An address verifier can be a close friend, relative landlord, family member or even a friend who permits the Aadhaar card holder to make use of their address as proof.

UIDAI has stopped the facility. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card owner by tweeting that the ability to update the address on Aadhaar Card via Address Validation Letter was removed. UIDAI has asked an Aadhaar issuer to notify the user that they are able to change their address by using another acceptable PoA document.
